Surveys
The Building Surveys are the core work of the NIAH. The surveys are ongoing and are carried out by county administrative area. Their purpose is to highlight a representative sample of the architectural heritage of each county, and raise awareness of the wealth of architectural heritage in Ireland.
The Database of Historic Gardens and Designed Landscapes is available here as an on-line searchable inventory. A site aerial photograph and an historic map extract accompany each record.
